Successful concepts for coaches and players
5,000+ coaches in more than 10 countries. Tanner Speed is an international well accepted concept.
Explosive takeoff speed and power are critical factors in football. Efficient speed requires optimal coordination of all muscles involved.
Coaches who don‘t understand the complexity of rapid movement simply make their players work out of their leg muscles, then wonder why they are not getting any faster.
The purpose of coordination training is to teach the brain to activate the muscles the right way at the right moment.
Tanner Speed courses provide the basic principles of how to elevate the speed of players of all levels.
It’s all about the basics.
All players we see today playing in the top leagues have started in the club in their local village. And the sooner player players start, the more their playing careers will benefit.
Besides running coordination, the players will also be improving their reaction speed and takeoff power. And there’s another positive side effect: Coordination training is an excellent way of preventing injuries.
In his 15 years as FC Zurich’s coordination and running coach Hans Tanner developed his own way of improving players’ running skills. And it seems to have worked: Seven players of the Swiss national team going to Brazil 2014 are Tanner alumni.
